Dr. Carrie Nicholson

Dr. Carrie Nicholson

Board Certified Family Physician

Dr. Nicholson grew up in Marquette, MI. She is an alumni of Albion College and received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2003. She completed her internship year at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN prior to returning to the University of Michigan to finish her residency in family medicine. She lives in Albion with her husband and three children. She is active in the AYSO soccer, the Harrington Elementary PCO, is on the Marshall Public School Board of Education, and enjoys healthy cooking and running.

Brittany L. Irey

Board Certified Family Physician

Dr. Irey grew up in Plainwell, MI. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology at the University of Michigan. She obtained her Medical Degree at Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine in Hershey, PA. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at University of Missouri Kansas City, Truman Medical Center-Lakewood in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Currently, Dr. Irey lives in Portage, MI with her two daughters. She has special interests in Women’s Health and Pediatrics. She performs multiple procedures including IUD placements and removal, endometrial biopsy, Nexplanon insertion/removals, colposcopy, lesion removals and biopsies, and joint injections. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, refurbishing furniture, gardening, and making new memories with her girls.

Family Practice Physician Assistant

PA Fuhr received a Masters Degree in the Physicians Assistant Program from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. PA Fuhr joined Marshall Medical Associates in 1996.

Samantha Grundemann, P.A.C.

Family Practice Physician Assistant

Mrs. Grundemann grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Central Michigan University in 2011. Samantha worked in pharmaceutical research and then went on to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Central Michigan, graduating in August 2014. Family medicine and women’s health has always been a passion and she looks forward to providing these services to families in Marshall. Samantha resides in Albion with her husband and enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling to the Upper Peninsula and working on the family farm.

Erin Grabowski

Family Practice Physician Assistant

Erin grew up in Hillsdale, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Science Pre-Professional from the University of Notre Dame in 2006. She then completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Western Michigan University in 2008. She worked in the fields of emergency medicine and cardiology before entering family practice. She lives in Marshall with her husband and two children.
